Are pets allowed on cruise ships?

Unfortunately, there aren’t many cruise ships that allow pets on board. Service animals are allowed on board but that’s about it. Cruise ships have to follow strict health codes and accommodating pets isn’t feasible. Also, cruises sail into different ports. Most countries have strict policies regarding animals. Usually, pets have to be quarantined for a specific period of time. It’s probably best to leave your pets at home instead of bring with them with you on your cruise vacation.
