Clinton County: What You’re Looking for is Down the Road
Welcome to the Pennsylvania Wilds – what you are looking for is just down the road…in Clinton County Pennsylvania!
We are home to the mountains and trails of the Bald Eagle Mountain Megatransect and the Hyner View Trail Challenge. Not ready to challenge the mountain? Pine Creek Rail Trail is rated in the top ten trails by USA Today for biking and hiking.
We offer 65 miles of the West Branch Susquehanna River for all your water related passions. Whether you want wilderness paddling, water skiing, swimming or just a day floating your cares away, you’ll find it here. June through August, the City of Lock Haven provides free concerts on a floating stage in the river.
Our two scenic byways offer ridge and valley views as you wind your way through the forests following the path cut by the river. Along the way, keep an eye peeled for deer, bear, elk or hang gliders soaring off Hyner View State Park.
We are home to the Original Woolrich Factory Store since 1830 and the Piper Aviation Museum. The Heisey Museum is a great place to experience the community’s heritage or stroll Downtown Lock Haven’s Main Street taking in the architecture and shops.
